Festivities beginning...

We are thankful for our Maryland Family that has arrived for Thanksgiving! Uncle Ben and Aunt Tara and Mimi and Edward are here. We went to Mimi's and Uncle's house last night and ate yummy soup and made cookies...

Of course, I am thankful for countless reasons this year...among them healthy family and friends, a fantastic job, the fact my kids get to be with me, RK's opportunities at school and overwhelming happiness...on a more material note--I LOVE MY NEW ROOM!

My in-laws surprised me with the furniture I wanted last Saturday so I have been workng hard all week making our room live up to the new entertainment center (no, there isn't a TV yet, Dave is asking Santa for one). I never knew how much our unfinished, storage place of a room bothered me until it was better. Thanks Polly and Ed!!! Words are not enough...

She said yes...

Reilly-Kate and Sam are getting a new aunt (of course, they've never known any different...) and I get a sister! Sean popped the question to Ginny last week on their trip to Vegas. Luckily, she thinks its a good idea, too...CONGRATS!

Happy Birthday to our Sam!

I can't believe he is already one! This year has flown by and at the same time it seems like he has always been here. All day I thought about what I was doing a year ago...it was Thanksgiving Day and labor and delivery was VERY FAST! I got to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with both my kids since Sam arrived early and, of course, it was great day. I will always be reminded of how thankful I am on his birthday---as I'm sure all mothers are reminded when they celebrate their children's births---but even more so when you get the gift of your own little turkey!
Happy Birthday Sam!
PS...He wasn't really interested in the whole cake thing. He liked his pizza better and just wanted to pick up the plate I painted him so it only lasted long enough for a picture.

Photographers

Sam's new favorite thing is to push RK on her airplane and she's not light! I took this picture but RK has discovered the camera...All the pictures that follow she took by herself! OK, OK, there were lots of the floor and random other things in between but I promise you'll be impressed...

Very photogenic subjects!

We told her to take pictures of her favorite things--we got quite a lot of her feet!
She's right, they are cute...

I don't know if Harold has ever gotten such a good pic.
If you have an event that you need a photographer, she is available but make your appointment now...Sorry, no family discounts. We're counting on her new career for Christmas this year. :)

Election Day 2050

RK: "Mommy, is today a special day?"
Mommy: "Yes, its Election Day. Today we'll get a new president."
RK: "Sam can do it!" (after thinking) "Maybe when he gets older..." (very excited) "I want to be president!!"
You sure can, Madame President.
