How much is that doggy in the window?

Act now and he can be yours! He is a beautiful shade of chocolate brown and answers to the name of Tucker. Not only is he a great snuggler, especially if you have a blanket, he is also FANTASTIC at cleaning up after your kids! Not just on the floor...no sir...he goes the extra mile!

RK's prayer

My Grandpa has had a rough month or so. He had a kidney removed and has spent lots of time in the hospital due to phnuemonia and other related ailments. He was home and better and this weekend he was re-admitted because of some swelling and infection in his leg.
When we went to Disney in February we were lucky enough to spend the day with him at Magic Kingdom...my whole childhood is filled with lots of memories of Grandpa, most of them at Disney World. So I was thankful that my kids got to have some of those, too, even for a day.
RK knows that Great Grandpa has been sick and in the hospital. A couple weeks ago she said she wanted to say a prayer for him to get better.
"Dear Grandpa, please feel better soon because you love Cinderella."
I know there will be many more opportunities for my kids to have great memories of their Great Grandpa because he is the toughest guy I know...he's been through worse than this. I also know that he is going to get better because of prayers just like the one RK said.
We don't need long, complex, "holy" prayers. Just simple ones.
Mine is, "God, please make my Grandpa better because I love his waffles."
Please feel free to add your own.

more easter

I was actually going to post about something else today but when I went to upload the picture, Easter just kept getting in the way. I decided we needed more cute pictures of my kids from Easter! You agree? I knew you would!

Sam figured out very quickly to open the egg before putting it in his
basket to see what goodies it held.

The first egg Nana handed to RK to put into the dye she tapped on the edge to crack. Very cute! Looks like she got her Daddy's cooking genes...
thank goodness.

eggs

We've been excited about Easter at our house for awhile.
The fun started Friday when Nana got fun bunny ears!

We have been thrilled to celebrate the holiday with Aunt Tara and Uncle Ben and Mimi who are down from Maryland this weekend.

Saturday night we all dyed eggs...

Please notice the lovely shade of color on RK's hands. That is what happens when all the egg dye gets mixed up on your hands. Yes, it does stay on for a couple days afterwards, too.

Our works of art! Not only were they beautiful but they made some GREAT deviled eggs on Sunday!

warm again

By no means have we been as cold as some in other parts of the country but we live in South Georgia for a reason! We like that we have an insanly big whole in the screen door in our kitchen and it doesn't matter. Even better, it is great entertainment for the short people in our lives.

cousins

Yesterday we went down to Jacksonville to help surprise Steven's cousin Calvin for his 30th birthday...He had no idea and a good time was had by all.

Uncle Sean, Sam loved being on the stage.
Anytime you are ready, I think you could have a little music partner!

It was fun to see all the cousins together. Brody and Sam are a few months apart and spent some time checking each other out and of course Sam enjoyed checking out what Brody was eating.

This picture makes it look like Alden and RK spent lots of time chit chatting and catching up. In reality RK didn't feel too well and this shot was right before we left when she was feeling "much better."

I grew up with lots of cousins around a lot so I love when our kids get the chance to hang out with theirs. We need to do it more often!
