on the road

We've been on vacation since Saturday and boy have we had fun! Our 1st stop was at Aunt Erin's and Uncle Alex's house...why don't we ever take pictures when we are together?? :)

Next stop was at Uncle Sean and (soon-to-be) Aunt Ginny's house in Atlanta. We took over their new house with a vengence...they were wonderful hosts and we had fun spending the day at the Atlanta Zoo with Uncle Sean and watering plants with Gigi and blowing bubbles...

A good time was had by all and I'm sure that Sean and Ginny appreciated their quiet house even more after we left!

late nights

An evening out with the girls ended very late and with a new addition to my ankle...what?! Yes, you are reading Meghan's blog. A good friend came into town, we went out and decided we would stop by the ol' tattoo parlour on the way home. Why not? Dave doesn't like tattoos but he loves me and has good a story to tell. If you are interested, the artwork was done by my good friend, and fellow tattoo-getter, ED Hose...I love it. Bec and ED and Jessie (who went home at an early 9:00 and missed the later festivites)---I had a GREAT time with y'all! Whats on the agenda for next time??

the 4th

I'm finally getting around to posting our 4th of July pictures...
I think this is my favorite holiday in our town (do I say that every holiday?). RK and I tie-dyed matching red white and blue shirts, I painted all my family's faces and we headed down to the waterfront for a yummy picnic and fun!

Pop and Sam enjoying the big finale of the day...firworks. When asked about the festvities Sam replied, "BOOM!" He loved it. We ended up in a big circle of chairs with our family, Nana, Pop, Mimi and Uncle, our "best" neighbors and lots of really good friends chatting, eating popcorn, snowcones and tacky patriotic cupcakes with blue icing while dancing with Sam to the Chicken Dance...is this a great country or what?!

a few of my favorite things...

We had a fun girls night out! Nana, Mimi (she lives here now!), RK and me got all gussied up to go to the Ritz Theatre for the "Sound Of Music" sing-along. As a last thought, we painted our faces...I had a nametag on that said 'Rose' and I had raindrops on my arms (Raindrops on Roses...get it?). Mom had a snowflake that stayed on her nose. Mimi had a rainbow that we would be sure to follow and RK was a kitten with whiskers.
We had a nice pizza dinner and off we went...

Popcorn and all and my little kitten LOVED IT! She would remind me to sing when I wanted to take a break...I'm sure the people in front of us did not appreciate that. Fun was had by all!
