pop! pop! pop!

We were treated to a great Thanksgiving program at Reilly-Kate's school...there was everything you need in a Thanksgiving program--pilgrims, indians, a turkey, and of course THE CORN! Yes, RK made her stage debut as a very versatile and yummy vegetable!

The excitement didn't end there...she was awarded a blue 1st place ribbon for her artwork at Coast Fest! Of course, it was a chocolate brown fish and she is very proud...1st place out of 22 schools, I might add. I am a very proud mommy! Not only is she a talented stage actress,
she is an award-winning artist!

sam is 2!

Our Super Sam is 2!! I can't believe how quickly the time passes. He started his day with a yummy breakfast complete with candle and song...he insisted on wearing his cape to church and then we spent the afternoon at Nana and Pop's house with family and great friends. Poor Sam wasn't feeling too well but it seems that the presents made him feel a little better...

mickey waffles

During our most recent trip to Disney, we stopped for the day to hang out with Great Grandma. Continuing a long-standing tradition we enjoyed Mickey waffles for breakfast before we went to go see the Mouse himself.

To my surprise, Grandma handed over the beloved waffle iron to our family. I was honored and the kids have been thrilled to have Mickey waffles in our own house. It really was like Grandma was handing me my whole childhood and I love that I get to share that oh-so-special part with my little ones...and yes, every time we make the mouse-shaped waffle, we have to take a picture of it before Reilly-Kate will allow it to be cut up and enjoyed...

varsity

While we were in Atlanta for Uncle Sean's wedding we, of course, made a stop at The Varsity for lunch...don't you have to? When you're a Davis you do!

Sam and RK didn't really get why we sat in the car and ate instead of just driving through and taking it home...but Sam didn't question much when he got his chocolate milk and french fries.

trick or treat!

Finally! The day had arrived...Super Sam got to wear his full costume---he's been wearing his cape all week---and all of our people had arrived to party! Pop and Nana and Mimi and Uncle came over to give out candy while we went begging in the neighborhood...

Reilly-Kate had been Sleeping Beauty and Minnie Mouse for other events but had settled on being a UGA cheerleader to the big night. Not because she is a die-hard fan, but because it wasn't "itchy".

Sam very much enjoyed saying "treat!" and getting some...don't worry, he remembered his "tank you", too!

Best quote of the night, "I don't want anymore treats!" RK was done. She did have fun and got lots of treats but it is tough running around with big boots on when it is almost 90 degrees. Plus, we found out today, that she is suffering from her 1st ear infection. Poor girl. But she toughed it out and another successful Halloween is done! Thanks for sharing it with us Pop and Nana, Mimi and Uncle---wouldn't have been the same without you!
