Where we live...

While we were out the other day killing time on RK's first day of school, we wandered over to the pier on St. Simons Island. The tide was very high and we sat and watched a pelican get fed by the people fishing. I am so thankful for where we live. RK and Sam get to grow up in a beautiful area that I'm sure they won't appreciate all the time. But after being away for about 10 years (and growing up a bit!) everyday I am happy that we chose to make our home in such a unique place.

School Days

Reilly-Kate started school this week. We've been talking about it a long time and she was excited...especially about the idea of a snack and the playground.

Dave took the morning off for the big event and he, Sam and I hung out together...not quite knowing what to do before we went back to get RK. The first day went well and she loved it.

By the second day going to school was old hat and she had it covered! Dave keeps asking her if she has learned micro-biology yet or at the very least how to write her name. No news to report on those fronts yet but she does love it when they have Goldfish for snack!

Three Years Old

RK is officially 3 years old and we celebrated last weekend with cheeseburgers, friends, family, and of course, cake and ice cream on her new Princess Plate.

There is a reason I don't own a bakery...RK loved her Princess cake, or at least, the princesses. My little girl turned 3 last Sunday. I can't believe it. She'll start school on Monday. Time flies and she is so excited. Now if mommy can only hold it together...I'll keep you updated.

Summertime Slacker

I know, I know...I've been very lazy in my posting. The summer has gone by so fast & we have been very busy at the store and very sleepy at night.

We spent last weekend near Athens with family and RK finally got on a horse!
