Dave always makes jokes about how every day is Mother's Day at our house and in my life...and it really is. Dave works so hard for our family everyday and has since we decided to enter into this journey together...he has moved 3 times, because I asked him to, he earned his Masters Degree to make our life better; during that time he travelled back and forth from Atlanta to Brunswick because I wanted to move the store here (which, by the way, he totally supported and encouraged me to open a store that may or may not produce a purposeful paycheck). Not to mention the fact that he never complains---which irritates me A LOT! My favorite thing is to see him with our children...they light up when he is around. I couldn't have asked for a better guy and I knew that when I married him and especially when we had kids.
Our neighbor has a boat and has been trying to set up a time that worked so that he and Dave could go fishing...he called Friday to see if Dave wanted to go on Saturday morning. So, of course, it being Father's Day weekend, I wanted him to go have fun...he deserves it. But he didn't go. He told Eric that since I had the day off on Saturday he wanted to spend the day with his family. All we did was run errands all day...not very exciting. We did have a nice dinner with my parents and then we went to the pier and played on the playground. Nothing grand but it was one of the best days we've had in a long time. My joy is truly my family and it thrills me that I live with a man that feels the same way...
