OK. So my whole plan for this post was to ask "What inspires you?" Over the last couple of weeks I've been asked (read: i've begged and they've let me be included) to be creative for a couple projects and events happening around town. 1st I painted a plate for The Taste of Glynn...I did little dots all over with a fork and knife and spoon...I already posted that pic a couple posts ago...people seemed to have liked it. That made me happy.

So, we are doing a series at church called "doors". I volunteered to paint a door. It was never a question to me about what I was going to paint...

Next, Sam's pre-school asked me to paint a chair to auction off. Of course, dots came out of my paintbrush--but I did go a little crazy---a flower too!

I started thinking, "Wow. I've been doing a lot of dots lately." But I started looking around the store...and I've been inspired by dots for a long time.

These are some new plaques that we just started making.

OK...then I thought I was done...but I'm walking down the studio and this damn pig is looking right at me! Dots have had me under their control for quite awhile it seems because this pig was painted a good 4 years ago...maybe I should branch out. Something crazy...stripes! Nah...

hahah I LOVE your dots :) especially that pink ribbon plate, and well, the door... it's all so lovely!
do you know, the dots have made their way to MD! the girls here at camp have incorporated dots into their lives since my spoon rest arrived here. :)
At first I laughed because i thought: hmmm... did she actually BEG me to paint a door? If so, your "begging" is very subtle and probably a bit manipulative. I'm on the look out.
Then I laughed because you wrote "damn pig" - WHO DOES THAT?!
THEN, I laughed, realizing that it's flipping biblical: remember those "damned" pigs that were possessed by the legion of demons that flung themselves off the cliff?
Good work, friend. If you're gonna have a potty mouth, might as well make it theologically accurate.
