week of sam

So my father-in-law had some surgery this past week. I really wanted to go up to Athens to help out and just give him a hug...Its crazy how long its been since I'd been up there. I decided on Monday and Sam and I hit the road on Tuesday. He was thrilled---my father-in-law and Sam. :)



While Pappy was resting, Sam got to hang out with a few of his favorites...

And yes, he did make time for me...and ice cream.

I spend everyday with this sweet boy, of course. But we've never had one-on-one time without Daddy and Big Sister. He is SO funny!! I really enjoyed my few days with just him. OF COURSE, Pappy and Gammy were there, too, and Sam always loves every minute he gets with them---in fact, Sam is still there with them. Daddy and RK are headed that way today to help celebrate Beckett's birthday so Sam got a couple days on his own with Pappy and Gammy...a little boy's dream...and dreamy for a couple grown-ups I know, too.

Oh yeah, my father-in-law is doing great! I think the snuggles and giggles helped a little...
