So we live in the BEST neighborhood...I promise I'm not biased...its true! We've always had the best neighbors right next door and just recently we've added another family to Brighton Circle that just made the street even better. To celebrate our new porch re-do,
Mandy (afore mentioned new neighbor) invited everyone to our house. Holly (of the next door peeps) thought it would be fun if we picked a different theme for our get-togethers...Sounds like fun right? I'm sure you are chomping at the bit to find out what our first theme was...drum roll, please.....
CANADA! What?! I know. I think I could have guessed 100 themes and Canada would not have been on that list. But stick with me...Eric (belongs to Holly) is originally from Canada and they treated us to some yumminess...canadian style.

We were treated to the most popular dish from our neighbors to the north...sorry Holly I can't remember the fancy french name...I know it starts with a "p" and doesn't sound super appetizing but it was great! Its basically french fries with this special gravy and cheese on top. Holly and Eric also brought over this fancy cooking contraption with a marble top to cook the meat and cheese on...think fondue without the pot. What fun! We had yummy sauces and different cheeses and veggies...we were stuffed.

The best part, of course, was the company. There is always at least once where I feel like I can't breath because I'm laughing so hard...put that together with some potatoes, cheese, some Canadian adult beverages, and some half-baked brownies and its a good Sunday evening. I like Canada.
