here we grow!

 The time is finally here...About 18 months ago we dreamed of expanding color me happy to the space that is next door to our studio.  It all fell through after many estimates and stress...we were sad.  But God has a plan because that is the time that our world fell apart and changed forever.  By NO MEANS would we still have a store if we had expanded then...we couldn't have handled it.

Fast forward about a year.  The landlord contacts us to see if we are still interested.  hhhmmmm...hadn't really thought about it.  Well, lets think about it.  Yes, it took 6 months for us to get on the same page as the landlord and yes the estimates for the construction was higher than we had hoped (aren't they always??) but we jumped...we did it!  We are expanding to the space next door...

 We only signed the papers a week ago tomorrow and already so much has been done.  We have a wall with a giant hole in it (very soon this will be an 8 foot sliding glass door to our new PRIVATE PARTY ROOM!!)

 

Speaking of a private party room...there is the beginning of the wall that will create that room and yes! that is a great big window so everyone can see what fun is happening in the party room!  That window is 5 feet across and 3 feet tall...its kinda like being in a party fish bowl. :)

The last picture is of the new window in the office wall...Wait!  Did I mention that I'm getting an office??!!  I have to say I'm the most excited about this part.  For two reasons...I do most of the office work and marketing planning and being able to spread out and have planning space in an area that doesn't have to be shared is oh so exciting...PLUS my kids will have private space to play and do homework!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They have been here at the store since they were teeny tiny and since they were teeny tiny we had a playpen and a highchair and such...then we created "forts" for them...and now they are almost 7 and 5 and MUCH taller and need more space.  AND THEY ARE FINALLY GETTING IT!! :)  Wahoo!!!  Plus---mom doesn't get left out.  She is getting to build her dream shelves (because we have NO storage right now) so lots of stuff will come out of her kiln room so she will have more working space since that is her domain...

 

So this is week one...a lot right??  Hopefully next week we will start with getting things cute---my fav.
